ATTENDANCE

 

Attendance is taken by your teacher in each of your classes and turned in to the Attendance Office. A report of absentees is made on a daily Absence Report by the Attendance Office.

Tardy to Subject Class

Excessive tardiness to class will be referred by your teacher to your counselor or the respective Dean for parent contact and possible Saturday Study Program.

Procedures for Permission to Leave

The student must bring a note from parents to the Attendance Office before 8:00 a.m. when a PTL is requested. The note must contain the following:

 

a. Name of the student,

b. Time of leaving the building,

c. Reason for request, and

d. Telephone number where parents can be reached during the day.

TELEPHONE NUMBER

 

Notify the Counseling Office, room 259, of all changes of address and/or telephone numbers. Please bring current utility bills.

 

CLUBS

 

Meetings

Clubs meet whenever called. Their meeting dates are planned at the beginning of the semester and announced in the weekly bulletin and read to students during fourth period. A new list of clubs and their sponsors is published at the beginning of each semester.

Membership in Clubs

l . Ordinarily the qualification to join a club will be an evident interest in the objectives of the club as well as satisfactory citizenship.

2. Students should apply for membership with the sponsor or officers. Students may also apply for membership during Club Day which will be held in September.

3. Membership cards may be issued to the qualified members.

4. The term of membership in any club will be one semester.

5. Roll will be established and taken at each meeting.

6. As an added qualification, to maintain membership, the student must take an active part in the club, maintain a prescribed attendance and a satisfactory citizenship.

Historian

Each club should have a historian to record the history of the club.

COUNSELORS

 

Students who wish to have counseling appointments should come to the Counseling Office to fill out an appointment request form. The appointment request form will be given to the appropriate counselor. The counselors will arrange the appointments and contact the students.

 

The Counseling Office is located on the second floor, room 259. The counseling staff is here to help you. Please feel free to consult them.
